Charlton Clarke, MA
Counselor

Charlton believes the key to effective counseling is getting beneath the surface to the core of a person's struggles. In his session, he doesn't just focus on the symptoms, but rather the deeper issues that are fueling the symptoms. He has found that the behaviors that people struggle with are often self-centered attempts to deal with pain and meet their own needs apart from God and others.
His desire is to create a safe place where his clients can explore their hearts and the life-story that has shaped them. Charlton also seeks to challenge his clients to new ways of living that involve moving away from empty self-reliance and moving toward meaningful relationship with God and loved ones.
Charlton has experience working with many different issues and types of clients, but he especially enjoys working with men and adolescent males in the areas of sexual addiction, anger management, anxiety and sexual abuse recovery.
Charlton received his M.A. in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando , Florida.
Before joining the staff of Front Range Counseling Center, Charlton counseled full-time on the staff of Grace Clinic in Winter Park , Florida. He has also served as an assistant to the President of Campus Crusade for Christ, and as the assistant to the Pastor of River of Life, PCA church in Orlando , Florida . He lives in Colorado Springs where he enjoys hiking with his wife Sara and their son Rylan.
