Amber Wong, MA
Counselor

Amber believes that the best counseling isn’t based on a formula or easy answers. Rather, it is a relational process that engages a person’s heart, mind and spirit. In her counseling, Amber hopes to establish a connection with clients based on trust, hope and compassion. With this in place, Amber can then help clients enter into areas of pain and brokenness, so that they might ultimately experience healing and genuine change.
Amber enjoys working with children, adolescents and adult women. She also has a special passion for helping adolescent girls and women with issues that distort their innate beauty and strength- such as eating issues, sexual abuse, cutting, anxiety/ depression, and childhood trauma.
Amber received her BS in Psychology from Duke University and her MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. She has also spent time working at the University of Maryland’s Child and Family Development Center, as well as co-teaching a course on Eating Disorders at Colorado Christian University. Amber is married and has one young son. In her spare time, Amber loves to hike, practice yoga and spend time with her beautiful family.
